International Day of the Girl 2018 Festival: The GIRLeffect.

When you invest $1.00 in an educated girl, 90 cents of it improves her community (compared to 35 cents for an educated boy). The U.N. calls this the GIRLeffect. We call it our theme for the 2018 International Day of the Girl fair.

International Day of the Girl is an official U.N. day to recognize girls’ rights and unique challenges girls face around the world. This year is aWe’s (Academy for Women’s Empowerment) 6th annual event. The only one in MSP. Led by girls 8-18, for girls (and their favorite people). Last year, it SOLD OUT at 150+ girls/adults. This year our space holds 500+.

The #IDG2018 Festival will be on October 7th at Midpointe Event Center. Come in and play, laugh, and learn from 2.00-5.00pm. Like any fair or festival, there will be games, food, laughter, fun, swag, prizes, music,and learning about girls.
